Injury Prone?

Post by FishBaitThe2nd » Sun Dec 16, 2012 5:54 pm

Earlier this year, i was in football, I made varsity as a freshman and then blew out my knee! I was out for the season. Wrestling came along, my knees better, and i worked hard and was on varsity again. I was pretty stoked, i was going into our biggest tournament of the year, The Hammerhead Invitational. 37 schools, 32 man brackets.Day one of the tournament; I won my first match in 28 seconds, lost my 2nd, won my 3rd. 4th match, semi finals, i ended up leaving the first round of that match with 2 fractured ribs, and torn muscles/ligiments in the left side of my chest/shoulder. So much pain! My shoulder, mid chest, collar bone are constantly in pain, and if i move my left arm at all the pain increases dramatically. Im wearing a sling, and my chest and shoulder are wrapped up. Hoping for a quick recovery! This happened friday night, i cant wrestle for a while now. I find out how long tomorrow or tuesday.
I only do football and wrestling, im hoping i can finish this season, and not miss out on my first 2 sports for high school! I was having a good season to. Im leaving wrestling, for now, with a 7-3 record hoping to be able to finish the season. Im going to try to do some winter steelheadin, tryna figure out how. hahaha

Injury Prone?..... No, I don't think so. Just young and lots of energy. You've got about 60 years to recover. Just don't mess up your casting arm.

Man, sounds normal to me. Sorry about the ribs. Those typically take a while to mend, so I wouldn't expect a quick recovery. Good luck to you and hope you are free from injury for a while.

Yes Fishbait we all have had our share of accidents. I've been hit by drunk drivers twice. One time I fractured 6 ribs. I punctured my right lung and ended up with blood clots near my heart in my lung and near the brain. I've had multiple DVTs in my legs. I've had Pulmonary embolisms 3 times. Just had knee surgery for a torn miniscus. Ive broken both legs.Ive had over 20 kidney stones 3 were surgically removed 4 were ultra sound to explosion, I passed the rest. Accident prone you say???? Im an accident waiting to happen. Ive hurt myself Fishing, Hunting, Off roading. You name it Ive done it. Between a bad back and bad legs I still manage to fish. "Waking up in pain is better then not waking up at all". Youre young FB11 You will heal quickly from your injuries. I made it this far. I plan on lasting alot longer. Good Luck FB.

My friend Andrew last year tore his acl up real bad in a soccer game last fall and couldn`t play any sports for a year so he missed all of rugby season. Which really sucked for him because we won the state championship and he would have been on varsity. :-({|=
