Ah to be young again...

Post by Mike Carey » Sun Feb 23, 2014 10:09 pm

My son James is playing guitar in a band. They call themselves "Nufangled". It takes me back 35 years to my band days. I miss jamming... but my fingers sure can't do what they used to do!

true, but time and energy on this side of fifty moves differently. I have other projects and goals to work on. If I had the devotion to it I could get myself back up to a reasonable level of play again. Watching James just brought a rush of memories I wasn't prepared for. I told him I'd like to jam with the band anytime they are just fooling around. I also told him if he ever hits it big I want to be invited on stage to jam out one tune. Key Arena works for me. Catchy! Louder! My band days are why my wife has to yell in my ear for me to hear her, and I turn the tv up really loud before I can understand what's going on. I should have worn ear plugs when I played I guess. That riff will be stuck ijn my head all day.
