wheelchair access

Post by dustinedgar23 » Sun Sep 01, 2013 6:58 pm

So my father is wheelchair bound and I would really love to get him out and land some fish. Nothing in particular just looking for a place that would be wheelchair accessible and have a descent chance of catching something. We live in the Bellevue area and would like to stay some what local. If you haveany input iI would love to hear it! Thanks!!

Edmonds has a nice fishing pier from which he could cast buzz bombs for a shot at pink salmon. It's a very nice place to go, fish, and then grab a bite to eat. Not to mention cool scenery and boats and the ferries coming and going.

Nice. What kind of gear do we need? Would medium action poles with 8lb line be sufficient.

You'll want something that will let you sling the buzz bomb a country mile, say a nice 8-81/2 foot spinning rod, medium, and 12-15 pound line or there-abouts. The pier is elevated above the water. Usually someone will have a circular net to lower down and net the salmon (usually...). 2-3 oz pink buzz bomb. It's catch Area 9.
