Spinner swap 2

Post by fishcreekspinners » Tue Jul 13, 2010 11:17 am

Anybody got time for another spinner swap? The first one was fun and everyone got some awesome new spinners for component costs.

1 week signup then we can start twisting wires. I'll act as the collection and distribution hub unless someone else wants to.

Let the creative thoughts begin!

Are you wanting us to make spinners or spoons and bring them with us. Or just bring what we use now for swapping?
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

ah, good question. Its intended for those anglers making spinners to make and share their handiwork with other participants in the swap. Its not swap current gear swap, but I can understand how it sounds like the later.

To participate, you need enough components and are willing to make a set of identical spinners in one of your favorite designs to cover the number of that want to participate.

Say 5 members and me are interested in doing it, everyone makes six spinners they're proud of and send their set to me.

I (acting as hub) divide up each set into 6 identical assortments and mail them back to each party. You send in your six and get back one of yours plus one of each of the 5 groups.

Hope that makes sense. Mike, you make your own spoons?

well, sort of... no worries, I'll make spinners too so we are all on the same page. Didn't mean to confuse the swap from the get-go. #-o

I will jump in again in the fall - too much going on now that the weather is nice!

No problem gringo. This last week, was my first time to spare since last time around. I got feeling everyone was anxious for another one so I brought it up.

We can either go with the crew signed on or wait until September or October and spend the warm weather on the water.

Based on the PM exchanges, we'll push this out a month or two and see what happens then.
