100% Guaranteed limits at Rufus Woods lower net pens...

Post by Big D » Mon Nov 15, 2010 12:59 am

Here's the newest promotion presented to you by Pacific Seafood & Aqua Culture…100% guaranteed Rufus Woods Triploid limits. It’s almost like shooting fish in a barrel. If you’re really quick you can probably take home several limits prior to us catching you and calling the Sheriff’s office. Congratulations to our newest winners, Mr. and Mrs. Imma Poacher who today were actually witnessed and photographed catching fish from inside one of the net pens.

There are always going to be people who think they are entitled to do anything they please. Perhaps they are politicians?

Big D only the top two sets are Pacific. The Tribe raises and releases the fish from the down stream pens or third set. My neighbor is on the board of directors at the church camp next door. The Tribe lets the kids fish from the pens, I've also seen Tribal members fishing inside the pens............. If you catch a fish with a green tag it came from there. I guess you're supposed to call the Tribe when you do catch one....... I've caught few but I've never got them to answer the phone...... Who would have thought.......

As for the Top pens, until they put the tops on them I saw plenty of Tribal members fish inside the pens, even after they leased them to Pacific.

So is it poaching or just plain old theivery fishing from inside the pens. Technically inside the pens it's private stock.

Hey Bodo,
That makes a lot of sense considering the condition of the lower pens when compared to the upper two sets. The guy and girl fishing in the net pens were older than "kids" probably early 20’s and the guy that ran to dump fish into a bucket in his boat was probably my age 50 or better and Caucasian.
The upper two pens have the tops on them now and have been beefed up to where it’s going to take an act of god to cause the damage that we’ve seen in the past. That would explain why I only pulled a smaller native at the upper pens although we did see some of the larger old timers following some of the jigs and spinners that we through.

I'm surprised they aren't using landing nets with extended handles, it would have made for a quick get away. ](*,)
