Gung Hay Fat Choy

Post by racfish » Thu Feb 03, 2011 10:43 am

Today is Chinese New Years. Happy New Years to all that celebrate it. This is the year of the Hare (not Hair). I just had the Lion dancers and the drummers for the past 20 mins. All I hear now are firecrackers and drums.LOL.Thats one of those things in Seattle that I like. The cultural diversity.

That's pretty neat about hearing the celebrations outside. I might have to hit up Hunan Palace for lunch to show my spirit..... :cheese: haha.

Not knowing that it was the Chinese New Year yesterday we had Chinese for dinner at our favorite local Chinese restaurant, the China Wok in Burlington. Everything is yummy but their Mongolian beef, sizzling rice soup and pot stickers are always high on our household craving list.

I haven't been able to get to the China Wok in almost 20 yrs. Used to go there all the time when I lived in Sedro Woolley, sounds like it's as good as it ever was. Now you have me thinking I need to make another trip to there.:cyclopsan

I grew up with the owner of the China Wok. He owns Apartments on Beacon hill which I sell him Draperies. My favorite Chinese restaurant is Kau Kau. By far the best BBQ Pork in the west coast. I mean that. Their Duck,BBq pork,Roast pork and chow foon is the best.I also buy pig tounges in broth there. Yummmmmmmm.. Its the year of the Rabbit. I was born year of the Horse although some would say Jackass.LOL.
