I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

Hahahahaha! Yep! But it sure tasted good! Next time I'm up there I'm going to run steel leader though, it almost chomped through my line! :)

Yep! The Cohuna was starting to put on its spawning colors, but still smoked up nice! Everybody wanted a picture with it.

Yea it was epic! Ended up busting my rod and reeled it in with only the last two guides. Luckily it was in the slack water, otherwise I'd've been toast. Thank the Good Lord for the Lamiglas no questions asked warranty!

I'm out on the water more than I should be. I'm allowed to photoshop stuff after it gets dark.

Getting a bit back on topic, in Michigan we would occasionally get what the local biologists would call a "pinook," a cross between a pink and chinook. The issue there is there were far fewer rivers suitable for salmon spawning there as compared to here and the distance they traveled to spawn is much shorter. For example, one of my favorite salmon rivers had a waterfall 12 miles up that stopped all salmon right there and the river was only about 25 yards wide, which is where they spawned. That many fish on one area and there's bound to be some cross pollination.

I really do want to see a picture of a chumpy buck in it's spawning glory though.

I've heard of chinook-humpy hybrids in the great lakes but I don't know.:fish:
