YES !!! it is a HILAKER .... PRICE REDUCED

Post by 'OL GREY DOG » Sun Apr 22, 2012 4:31 pm

i'm try'n to help my friends widow sell his boat.. it's '85 12ft hilaker ... and it is mint ... it's sit'n on a Caulkins trailer that shows the same amount of wear and tear as the boat does !! ... none !!! ... she has a 6 horse Evinruder that you can see in the pics looks brandnew .... it hadnt been run in a few years .. so i took some fresh gas (with superduper fuel treatment in it) out and got it started for her .... it didnt want to start .. then it didnt want to keep run'n ... arrrggggGGG ... i know ya'll know that one ... but after a 1/2 hour or so of start'n her 'n let'n her run till she died .. then start'n her again ... 'n again ... 'n again .. lolol ... she was run'n pretty good at higher rpms but i never got her to idle down ... it just needs the (EDITED) ran out of her with some good fuel ... after i gave up on it idle'n i did shift it into F & R and pulled the rope and the prop turned ... the water pump was push'n a good stream ... once she was warmed up it was REstart'n on the 1st or 2nd pull everytime ... comes with it's owners manual !!!

the story is the 1st owner bought it as a package.. used it a few times the 1st year then it sat in the corner of the garage for years ... then he sold it to a guy (who used it a couple times) and it sat in another garage for years ... it was then sold to my friend who took it out 2 or 3 times and then it just sat in his garage !!! ... so it is in showroom condition ... only scratchs i could find were a few small 1s from be'n beached .. and as you can see in the pics you have to get/look close to see them... the rollers 'n tires look good .. comes with a spare and has bearing buddies ... included are a set of oars the gas can and a boat cover ... both the boat and trailer have new tags ...

the reason i'm listing this lil boat here is to give you guys 1ST chance ... we'd like her to go to someone that knows how well built and stable these boats are .. and would give her the love a use she deserves ... AND to save the widow the hassle of deal'n with looky lou's and scamers ... SOOOOO your going to have to go through the OLD DOG to get to this boat... if you have $2500 CASH !!! .. IN YOUR POCKET ... and are serious about buy'n this boat leave a post here ... we'll see what we can do about put'n you the boat and the owner(paper work) together.. the boat is here in Olympia ..

i'd like to buy this lil boat myself ... not going to find another this nice .. but the wife said i had to sell the 8 boats 'n 11 trailers i already have 1st !!! ...O-: mean old (EDITED).. interested ? .. leave me a post here .. we'll see what we can do .... DOG

justa P.S. ... if i set this all up .. and ya show up and try 'n dicker on the price .. or try 'n write a check .. you'll probably end up get'n DOG BIT 'n run off the place ... it's $2500 cash as is where is ... whole transaction wont take 10 mins ... 1 walk around the boat and you'll know i'm not lie'n about the condition ... thnx for look'n

Great boat too! My best friend had, I believe, a 14' Hi-Laker when we were in HS. Nice 20hp Merc on the back and we ran that thing everywhere, the sound, local lakes, etc. You are making a great offer for someone. [cool]

bump this 1 time before i offer it elsewheres ... widow could really use the cash for med bills 'n other expences ........you arnt going to find a cleaner "used" boat .... only rust on the trailer is a few bolts ... ya see the 'ol "you can eat off of it" say'n about the OB motor.... but its true in this case ... and if you look close at the pics ... this thing wasnt cleaned up for the show ... you can see a lil dirt in the bottom and dust on the gunwales ...wide 'n deep with a nice high prow ... this lil boat boat eats wind wave chop that chases the 14 ft alum guys off the lake ... has nice wide gunwales and small covered area up at the bow ... makes mounting DRs pole holders lights ect easy .... they're just a heavy well built boat ... anyways took a look guys ...

i'm surprized someone with a small biz hasnt bought it for a write off ... say some tackle maker ... needs to test latest models ... pleanty of room for a wrap or big signs !!!! ... easy to handle and launch and unlaunch if you fish by yourself a lot !!! ... lolololol .... THNX for look'n ..... DOG

P.S. make a great mothers day gift ... for you guys that cant figure out any other way to get away with it !!!

wellll my friend's widow is hurt'n a little and needs the cash ... so we're reduce'n the price to $2000 ... in fact if it's someone from the site that i "know" or say some tackle maker and they PM'd me or something ... you might be able to negotiate a lower price yet ... we'd really like this boat to go to someone who'd appreciate it and care for it like it's been taken care of for the dang near 30 years she's been around .. but mostly we want it to go to someone that will use it ... this little boat really is like brand new ... thn for look'n ...
