X-RAP

Post by kevinb » Sat Mar 15, 2008 10:04 am

I love my raps,I'm sure this topic has already been hit. I use rapalas quite a bit. But have not purchased the x-rap. Wondering if anyone out there has used it? Success?,How do you retrieve,(twitches, pauses)?

Also, does anyone know the largest size of the (HUSKY JERK)?

I know HJ's get as large as size 14 as I bought a bunch this year for "large" trout.

x-raps have incredible action. I haven't caught anything on it yet, I'm still working on that part. Looking for shallow active conditions.

x raps are great! they make them in some cool colors too. i usually use the smaller size (xr8) with a twitch twitch pause but ive also seen people use them succsesfully with a steady retrieve

Thanks Jacob. I'm going to pick up a few(2 handfuls and a cart)and hit Tapps this weekend. The smallies are biting hard. Maybe I'll try 'em on a few muskies. If anyone from Rapala is reading this. I'm fielding testing your lures. Give a shirt or money, something.

X rap's are awesome, but I have better luck with shad & jointed shad raps. The best is and always will be the orginal floaters as far as Rapalas go.
