WL.com Slogan
This kind of goes along with mallard83's question about bumber stickers and got me to thinking, do we have a slogan? It would be cool to have something to go with the WL.com logo.
Like........Get hooked at WashingtonLakes.com or You don't know how to fish unless your on WL.com or Everything I know I learned at WashingtonLakes.com.
If not, I think it would be cool to hold a contest and let the public decide. Once the scenic picture contest ends this could be the next one. And make it similiar with the polls to widdle down the best slogan. Just an idea.

While I can see a benefit of letting the public offer suggestions, I wouldn't want to make a business decision based off of a forum poll. Good idea, to collect suggestions for a slogan and to weed out the less desirables... down to half a dozen... but then I think the final choice would have to be in our hands (Mike and I).

Don't have one so I wouldn't know.Aaron wrote:Very true. It does say that.
Well, since we are going out with the old and in with the new, maybe we can get a couple ideas from members and see what you guys think. I agree with you 100% on you making the final decision. Even if you said no to everyone one of them, it still would be a cool contest to convince you guys to change the slogan.
Unless of course, you like the current one.

Mike came up with the original slogan, but as far as I know the license plate frame is the only place it appears.

Just thought I'd throw that one out there.

I like and think that we should stay with the original, "Go Fishing Online With Washingtonlakes.com". IMO, it is very original and up with the times.

As mentioned, "Fish online at WashingtonLakes.com" was the one that fit on the frames. Hey. I'm open to new ideas, as Aaron said, no promises...Aaron wrote:Mike came up with the original slogan, but as far as I know the license plate frame is the only place it appears.

RE:WL.com Slogan
So then what would be slogan reguirements?.....that might change you mind?
Do you want to have a little thread that gets people input on slogans after the Scenic Pic contests ends? Might be fun to see what people come up with.

along with bumber stickers, I'd love some business cards...I'd stick about 10 in my tackle box every time out and anyone I make conversation with I can bring up the site and hand them the card...With the logo, url, and Mikes and Aarons name on it would look pretty sweet...

That's exactly what I did. Just send Mike a PM, he'll send you his cards, and all you have to do is pay the 58 cents for postage that it costs to send the cards to your address. I believe he sent me about 30 which are almost gone, I have about 7 left. Easy as that. It works well, too -- spreads the word.Sam Kafelafish wrote:I'd love some business cards...I'd stick about 10 in my tackle box every time out and anyone I make conversation with I can bring up the site and hand them the card...With the logo, url, and Mikes and Aarons name on it would look pretty sweet...

Ah, now I feel cheated out of that whopping 58 cents. Dang. Anyways, those cards are sweet, and it'd be nice to get both your name, Mike, and also Aaron's name on the card as well. When I give the cards to people I write down my contact info on the back and then tell them I'm NOT the owner, lol, cause people jump to that conclusion..."I'll go, no, no, it's not me...it's Mike that and Aaron that labor so hard to make it a great site. I'm glad you're mailing these out...good stuff. At least 10 members have signed up due to this methedology of marketing.Mike Carey wrote:
