1) What is the biggest fish you have ever caught?
Honestly, either a largemouth bass that weighed over four pounds, a carp around five pounds, or about a five pout channel catfish. I need to get something bigger to brag about!

2) What is your favorite body (bodies) of water to fish?
I love my "secret lake" for largemouth, the Snake River for catfish and smallies, and Dog Lake for Rainbow Trout. I always do well on these bodies of water.

3) What is your favorite species to fish for?
Trout, bass and catfish

4) What is the most embarressing moment you have had while fishing?
I had on a lunker Rainbow at Dog Lake, and each time I got the beast close to the bank, it tore off back into the deep. After several of these runs, I took drastic measures and attempted to grab the fish with my hand (I had no net and it was a lunker). This did not work at all. I ended up on my knees in the water trying to wrestle the fish. I know this was a stupid move, but the adrenaline was going and I was not thinking straight. I finally ended up having the fish pinned down with my hand in the shallows and thought I had it. And then it happened. It shook, and the slimy creature broke free of my hands, broke the hook and swam off. The really embarressing part of the story is, I leaped into the water after it, getting completely soaked, and then screamed profanities for a moment or so. I looked up and there was a group of fisherman right across the lake looking at me. They probably thought I was nuts! It was quite a ridiculous scene.

6) Do you like to fish alone, or with a partner?
Fishing with a partner is great, because you have someone to talk to and share the adventure with, but sometimes, it is nice to be completely isolated.

7) Boats or fishing from the bank?
Both

8) First fishing memory? Where did you go?
Probably fishing for trout at Deer Lake out of Odessa. It was hot, and I was worried about snakes. I was probably six?

9) Are you a competitive fisherman? (does it annoy you to be outfished?)
Very competitive. I hate being outfished. My buddy caught four bass last year at a lake (the largest being six pounds), and I got skunked. I was not a happy camper!

10) Best fishing experience you have ever had?
Either catching nice cats on the Snake River or catching four pound bass at my 'secret lake'

11) Keep fish or release them?
I used to keep every fish that was legal, but I'm reallly getting into releasing now.

12) Worst experience fishing?
It started out great. My dad and I did awesome for large channel cats on the Snake, but when we got back to the launch, it all went down hill. I was in my teens, and not completely used to navigating our boat through a marina. Somehow I managed to get my dad's boat in the shallows while trying to drive it onto the trailer. Needless to say the Stainless steel prop met the rocks. My dad lost his temper and yelled and I cried.

13) Ever fallen out of the boat or into a body of water while fishing?
I've fallin' into a river on two occasions due to alcohol related reasons, but I was not fishing.

14) Do you own a fishing boat?
Not personally:-(

15) Fly fishing or spinning reel?
Spinning real, but I have been meaning to take up fly fishing.

16) How often are you able to get out on the water?
During spring and summer, probably four to six times a month.

17) Do you prefer lures or bait?
Both

18) Ugliest fish ever caught?
Carp, yuck!

19) Most attractive fish ever caught?
21 inch german brown

20) Most unexpected fish you've ever caught? (IE catching a carp while fishing for trout)
Probably a German Brown while bass fishing.

21) Ever exagerated a fishing trip? (we're probably all guilty)
Maybe a little, I tend to be pretty honest.

22) What is the weirdest (non animal) thing that you have ever drug in while fishing?
I realed in a pair of camoflauge boxers one time on the Snake

Fishing Beaver Lake from shore to the point of hypothermia (and still being skunked!)

Yeah. This girl pushed me into the lake while I had a fish on.

I couldn't get to the net so I pole lifted a fish into the boat. He was hooked on the rear hook of a Rapala, and the front hook found where ying meets yang on my blue jeans. Flopping fish between my legs and dad almost laughed himself out of the boat.

Hooking a blue heron. He got tangled in my line when I was just plunking powerbait. I think about 10 people at Beaver Lake saw it.

When I am with my buddies, I don't care who catches the most. But when I'm on a lake with a bunch of strangers, I love to be the one getting all the looks cause I'm the one catching the most...
10) Best fishing experience you have ever had?
Sitka with some cousins/uncles and my dad... We took off on a 100 foot yacht with a small crew that had a sweet 25 foot fishing boat that matched it. We would just move around every few days on the big boat and just go anchor in the middle of no where and just use the 25 footer to fish off and run around to hot springs, and all sorts of back bays and locations in Alaska with no sight of human life. We hit many 40+ kings and tons of silvers, as well as some great bottomfishing....

Keep some, release a lot though...
12) Worst experience fishing?
I've been disappointed by Beaver Lake a lot. I think it's an overrated lake.

On purpose out of a boat? Yes. I've stepped into water, but not fallen in it.

Usually 80-110 days per year

Horseshoe Lake with my mothers boyfriend at age 6.

John Day River in Oregon with Mike Carey. The fish were smallish, but we caught them all day long as we drifted down the river. The hot pot roast lunch, at a table wtih chairs, midway down the river, was the best.

Keep if you eat them, release if you don't.

12) Worst experience fishing?
Badger Lake. Lost 2 poles, caught 0 fish, tended to 4 children, for 6 hours. Cold and windy. Hated it.

Olympic Penninsula, I was 4 or 5 & dad took me to a u-fish place - dad's NOT a fisherman - it was my first time and his the only time.

No - if it did I think I would be annoyed all of the time! I prefer to see those least likely to do well outfish those that know it all.

Fishing with my grandmother - SHE was most hardcore fisherwoman I have ever known!

%99 release - I only keep if injured or I plan on eating soon.

Caught a steelhead my first time out on the Snoqualmie, took my brother 14 yrs. to get his first one.

Anytime I am with friends on a nice calm sunny day

Release most but sometimes keep a couple for the table

Native winter run steelhead with just a slight band of red on the cheeks and sides

Smallmouth bass when fishing for trout with spinners (happened a lot last year)

Who hasn't? You ain't a fisherman unless you tell a good tale every now and then

Lots of stuff: shoes, clothes, a chair, shopping cart (got it to the boat and it broke off), a couple of toys

1) What is the biggest fish you have ever caught. 5' 11 3/4'' Sturgeon in lake Roosevelt back in the late 80s when you could keep them between 4' and 6'. I had a 1/4'' to spare.

2) What is your favorite body (bodies) of water to fish? In Washington for Lakes Deer, Roosevelt and Nile. For rivers Little Spokane, the Colville and the Grand Rond. I can't forget my all time favorite Long Lake in spokane co that is where I grew up and you never know what you are going to catch anymore.

3) What is your favorite species to fish for? Steelhead, Bass and Wild Trout,all depends on the season.

4) What is the most embarressing moment you have had while fishing? Hooking a friend in the ear while casting or falling in while trying to piss off the edge of the boat.

5) Ever been too drunk to fish? (stealing this from Jeff Foxworthy... You might be a redneck) To drunk to reel or set the hook or even to find my ploe but, never to drunk to fish.

6) Do you like to fish alone, or with a partner? With someone usually, I sometimes prefer to fish alone.

7) Boats or fishing from the bank? That depends on the fish and if I am drinking. Every year I get together with some old high school friends and we drish from the bank on lake Roosevelt.

8) First fishing memory? Where did you go? I grew up on a lake and actually I don't remember my first fish. I've been told I was two when I caught a perch with my Great Grandmother on her dock out at Long Lake.

9) Are you a competitive fisherman? (does it annoy you to be outfished?) That depends on who is out fishing me.

10) Best fishing experience you have ever had? Either my first Steelhead or my first Sturgeon or fishing for Red Fish in the Gulf. Thats a tough one I have had a lot of great fishing experiences.

11) Keep fish or release them? That also depends, Planters I usually keep. Wild trout I release except small Brook trout. Salmon I keep. Big Bass I release, small ones I might keep. Pan fish and Walleye I keep if I can.

12) Worst experience fishing? Getting my camp ripped off.

13) Ever fallen out of the boat or into a body of water while fishing? Yes as mentioned above.

14) Do you own a fishing boat? Not at this time, I have acsess to a 12' aluminum boat any time I need.

15) Fly fishing or spinning reel? I love to fish period, I am still learning to fly fish so I always have my stanby.

16) How often are you able to get out on the water? Not enough!

17) Do you prefer lures or bait? That depends on the Speices

18) Ugliest fish ever caught? In Washington a Burbot in the Gulf a Aligator Gar or a Hammerhead, actually lets just say the Hammerhead is the wierdest.

30-40lb King back in the day. When I was a kid fishing the Sound we use to at least catch one over 30+lbs ever trip. Ahh, the good ole' days.

Lake Washington, Kitsap Lake, Island Lake, Buck Lake, Cottage Lake and of course the Sound.

Can you ever really be too drunk to fish? So, my answer would be no. Actually, I don't drink a lot anyways, expecially not when I'm fishing.

Both, I would say 50/50 depending on the body of water really. I have been blessed with good friends who invite me out on their boats.

My dad made an awesome pond in his back yard and I use to fish it all the time during the summers when I would visit.

Yes.

I got onto a swimbait bite down in Cali that lasted an hour and a half and I tagged 4 bass, 3 or which went over 5lbs. with the biggest being 6.2lbs. I had many other misses but the day and conditions were perfect and I felt I couldn't do wrong.
I have also had many 20+ bass days that would rank right up there but nothing beats hauling in the hawgs.

C&R unless it's a trout or salmon I plan on eating.

Never had one. If I'm fishing it's all good. No really, I just can't think of one specific time right now.

Other than that, a Ling Cod. I will say though that some stocker trout I have caught can look pretty ugly with how beat up they get.

California Golden Trout in the Eastern Sierras I think would have to be the most beatiful fish I have caught.

I have caught crab and octupus while bottom fishing. That was kind of unexpected. I have also had little freshwater clams on my bait too.

Several years back there was a levy that broke up near Cougar, WA. The water that it was holding was a no fishing zone which held huge trout. After it broke the fish moved into fishable waters. The fish worked their way through several of the resevours until they reached the swimming area of Merwin near the dam. I was averaging around 15 trout between 18 and 30 inches on every trip for a few months. It was great because very few people knew about it. Too bad its not like that anymore.

It was a windy day out on silver lake on my 8 ft boat and my electric trolling motor. I forgot to tighten the prop and while fishing the shallows i hit a log in the water and lost my prop. All I had was a small paddle for "emergencies. I ended up having to paddle a mile into the wind to get back to the launch.

I lost a pair of glasses when I fell into the water while fishing on some pilings for crappie.
