Travis,

Since Golden trout are an alpine lake fish, I posted a link in the alpine lake section to a ton of Snohomish county alpine lakes, one of which is Sunset lake which was mentioned above to have Golden trout. Then I realized that you are in Spokane.... if you look at that link closer I would be there is a way to search within the link for alpine lakes in your area of the state,, maybe.
Look under the alpine lake section for the link.

As has been pointed out, they live in high altitutde lakes. The official Washington State record on these beauties is 3.91 pounds (I'd love to see that fish). I investigated the stocking of Golden's in Washington last year, and came up with several lakes in the Northern Puget sound area (see wdfw's web page). These lakes included Crawford Lake, Crystel Lake, Edd's Lake and Jake's Lake. Also, some were planted last year in Sidle Lake in Okanagon County. I don't know which lakes are going to be recieving Golden's this year, but I sure would love to catch one. Here is a picture of one:

I also want to catch one someday. It doesn't look like any lakes have been planted with Goldens yet this year.
I wonder if they reproduce naturally here or if there are any holdovers?
