My dad and I are looking for a new boat... I am looking at the Lowe Roughneck series or the Tracker Grizzly Boats... We love to duck hunt along with fish in lakes and reservoirs... does anyone know where we can go see these types of boats? prices? anything about them? let me know what you all know!!!!

Sportsmans show this weekend in Puyallup and the Boatshow is in Seattle. Hit the shows and drool on all of them. I'll bet there's a salesman hot to make a sale! Bring a sharp pencil.

Last time I went to the Boatshow it cost me 17 grand.I lamented over the Smokercraft, the Lowes, and the Hewescraft.I went for the Smokercraft Tracer 16' with a built in gas tank.

I'd definitely hit up the Sportsman's show and the Boat Show before making a decision. I like all welded aluminum boats as opposed to riveted aluminum. However, you may want to look to see if anyone has a Jon style boat with some sort of a wave chopping bow out there. I doesn't take much chop before your pounding the heck out of yourself and your gear when running with a traditional style Jon boat. That pounding is what puts batteries and electronics out of commission before their time. My father has a small Sorenson (dual hull - like a Livingston) that we use for small lakes, is super stable and cuts through waves and chop with no problems. Paint one of those style boats with camo paint and your good to go.

Race=fish was the $17,000 and change the down=payment:colors: :brilsmurf
Dare to compare but look at hull design, integrity, width/workbench, length and HP.
These guys are selling there step-kids right now:colors: If it says 10 $$$ offer is a dollar across the board in this fading market.
Go in with what are my personal needs will be as well as all waters you might press, family, weight carry loads capacity, big blue, rivers, lakes, Puget sound or even a pond there is a correct choice if your work bench is large from doing.
Also inspect the welds, trailers and any options there putting on the tub and look for Stainless products and fit and finish as well.
Batteries, wiring, warrenty on structure/hull and motors as well as the kicker if that is part of the package.

Get the most going in and have a friend who knows the tricks of the trade there endless and many.
Entry V, flat bottom, delta pad, radius hull , Glass many gifts that need to be answered before the $$$ leaves the hand and if they dont have each answer and 10 more move on!:compress:

You'll be impressed with the quality and value that the Lowe provides when you do see them. All welded hulls, lifetime warrantee on hull and decking if I remember correctly and for the price, VERY hard to beat....just wish I could afford my fish'n ski.....

If you're boat shopping go to the Seattle boat show. I was at the Sportsmans show today and there wasn't much for boats there. The ones that were there all had "sale" prices that really had at least a 40% margin on them. Boat building and sales are in the toilet and if a dealer wants some cash flow they will have to give up and deal. If they don't move a lot of product at the Seattle show it'll be a grim year for the boat retailers. Find a boat that you like and if the showing dealer won't deal then look on the web for the mfgs website and find other dealers who carry the line who may really want to deal. Boat sales stink right now and both dealers and mfgs have yards full of unsold product. Cash talks!!!!

To be completely honest, this is the most intelligent post I've read in a while.

If you still insist on buying a boat try craigs list. Lowe boats are carried by Olympic Boat Center(We'll make a boat hater out of you) in Fife and by Cabalas (give us your first born) out of Lacey. There is a Tracker dealer in Kent but I can't insult them because I haven't been raped by them.......yet.
I do own a Lowe and am very happy with the quality of it.
I like it when I can call it Catching!

I believe the Sportsman's Warehouse sells Lowe boats. I searched for Lowe boat dealers and found the following east side dealers;

THE ELEPHANT BOYS
E. 12622 SPRAGUE AVE.
SPOKANE, WA 99207
Phone: (509) 926-6894

TRAVELAND RV CENTER, LLC
915 S. ELY
KENNEWICK, WA 99336
Phone: (509) 586-8213

I own a Hewes Craft and a Smoker Craft. Both are very well built boats. The Smoker Craft I have is the Alaskan series which is a deep V boat (extra freeboard) which is nice. Curious what length you are looking to buy? Good luck and lets us know what you end up with. Pics as well.

Cabela's in Post Falls also has them. Don't know about the Cabela's on the west side.

the lowe roughneck series or the polarkraft sportsman series are the two boats that my dad and I are really looking at. they are a little v in the front and almost flat in the back... we are like these because we could have a livewell.. storage compartments.. rod/gun lockers.. camo boat... put 3 people in it comfortably... we like to duck hunt and fish lakes..... so we think this type of boat would be great.... the ones we are looking at are a little over 16 feet..... the lowes are at cabelas in lacey, kennewick, spokane, and then cabelas in post falls..... and the polar krafts are in mount vernon and hayden idaho.....

Don't forget Lund or Smokercraft either...You have a lot of options in the aluminum boat market, and the deals should be out there with this economy....Don't pull the trigger right away on a boat, shop around for deals, get the most options and biggest motor for your money...
Don't chase reports...Be the report others chase....
