If that don't beat all

Post by Toni » Sat Mar 28, 2009 11:18 am

Some one stole my trailer plug off my 1991 explorer. I am not sure when but I think after Wed. night. Good thing it rained...I was thinking about going fishing in the boat.

In the early 80's or late 70's someone stole the glove box cover and light bulbs from my turn signals from my pinto. It was parked in my car port right next to the house.
Have times changed?

I went to the Uhaul place to see about having one put on but the person just gave me everything I needed to do it myself. For free. Even the wire connectors.
Pretty cool!

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

Back then they were comon as chevy vega's. They just didn't want to go down to the local schucks to get there light bulbs (or to cheap). Didn't we also have a recession or something in the late 70's or 80's?

There are few things that hack me off more than a thief. It doesn't matter what they steal, be it a 5$ plug or a $5000 car, I just don't understand taking something that doesn't belong to you without asking. I guess in this day and age the threat of getting caught and punished for the crime isn't enough to deter the jerks from pinching anything they want. Boot to the head I say, or better yet axe to the wrist!

PS - I'm impressed by the generosity of the person who gave you the items at no cost. It keeps my hope alive that our society isn't going down the tubes.

I have to agree with G man on this one. The crimes don't match the punishment. People will steal anything these days between drugs and the government controlled recession. I wish that the U.S. laws were like asian countries with punishment...IE the guy that spray painted the wall in thailand and was lashed with a cane. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time always applies. It's nice to see that strangers are willing to help people still. OK i'm done venting.

I would say theft is in the top 3 calls we get every day at work. It amazes me sometimes.

One time somebody broke my car window to steal my stereo. They must have broken the stereo while trying to steal it, because they threw it through my passenger window. #-o So I was left with 2 broken windows, a broken stereo and a ripped up dash:-({|=....yeah I was pretty mad. ](*,) Nothing worse than thieves.

Just over a year ago,my piece "O" El Crapo Honda was stolen and found hours later
in the South Prairie area ,a popular car dumping ground. The CD player was untouched"the only thing
of value inside the car" However,I opened the trunk to find my son's stroller, fishing rod and tackle box
gone. I hate thieves...I need to purchase a firearm:rambo:

Thieves… Hanging’s too good for em.

A few year ago, someone stole the neighbor kids bike. I found it about an hour later. The thief lived on the 3rd floor of an appartment and had put the bike on his deck, facing the main road, a block from the house. The stolen bike was in plain view. It was an easy bust and the bike was returned that day.
