new bait to try
Good day...I purchased a package of little dog treats and found that they looked exactly like the pellet food that is fed to trout. I hope someone will use them at Rufus Woods and see if they work. The treats are a little larger than the original food but look the same. I did some testing and found that they lasted 20min in the water without breaking down. To put them on a hook I used a needle and line to thread them on the hook and then they didn't break apart. I had several bites using them at Lake Ballinger but didn't catch anything. Typical for this lake!
I purchased them at Petsmart in Lynnwood. They are called Bil-Jac ....One size is called Little Jacs(smallest) and the larger size is just Bil-Jac.They are a Dog treat. Not available in grocery stores...only pet stores. The phone number is 1800-321-1002 or www.biljac.com Here are some pics. Hope they work for you, Steve

Fly Fishing is the art of attaching a fake bug to a line and relying on the appropriate manipulation of the rod to deceive the fish into eating a sharp steel hook covered with feathers and fur.

Use magic thread on them:-#
it will hold them together and not impact the strike if wrapped correctly and will soak and last hours and scent as well:cheers:

Or...You could purchase a couple of my newly tied, fresh from the bench...Rufus Woods New & Improved Trout pellet Flies.
Pinch down the barb and you can catch & release all day long.

Bragging may not bring happiness, but no man having caught a large fish goes home through an alley.
