COMCAST...Bass Fishing Sportskool

Post by bassackwards » Tue Jul 17, 2007 9:11 pm

Browsing around on Channel 1 (Comcast) I went down to Sports & Fitness (I think) and then to Versus and then to Sportskool (yes, that's how it's spelled) and found the bass fishing skool.

It's pretty cool. It's got about 5 or 6 different episodes that range from casting to "getting to know the bass". They're not very long but they're very informative, even if you've been fishing a while.

Just thought I'd pass this on to everyone. Seems to be a fair amount of us on here that could use a refresher course on bass fishing. I know I could. If you're brand new to the sport, check out the "Getting Started" one. It walks you through rod/reel selection and all the basics to get you started.

Hope it helps.

Cooh huh? Check back every week, I think they change it up a bit, at least on the "Versus"/ Bass Fishing section, not Sportskool.

I got a good laugh out of that guy doing the instruction...who the heck is that guy? Pretty sad when you're lowered to doing Comcast OnDemand teaching and not out fishing tourneys. Kinda like the "Stones" doing birthday parties.

I just got done watching all the episodes. Great stuff. Very informative. Now I think I'm ready to catch bass. :bounce:
I wish that there was more advanced stuff too.
Mike Delvisco sounds like a good teacher but for me he is a little dry. Not much excitement coming out of that guy. Other than that I think a lot of kids and beginning bass anglers will benifit from this program. It's a great idea. I also checked out some of the other sport tutorials that they have and they are kool.

Just checked out the website too. http://www.sportskool.com/home.jsp Good stuff.

Thanks for the recommendation bassackwards. Good looking out.
