Lake Search

Post by Gonefishing » Thu Mar 31, 2011 6:47 am

Is it me or is there a problem in the lake search.

State Selected: Washington

Letter of the alphabet I chose was M ..... looking for Martha it went MIA. Same thing when I selected G.... seemed like the list of Washington lakes with G was low. B had a boat load of lakes but from that point on the list seemed off (to me).

Otherwise great job getting the site back up again.

I'm not seeing that problem on my end... were you searching from this page?

http://www.washingtonlakes.com/LakeIndex.aspx

When I click M I get 3 Martha lakes in the list...

Now it appears to work right. Kind of like taking the car to the mechanic to have a problem looked at and when the mechanic sees the car the problem goes away.

When I did it last night I only something like 5 lakes in total for all of Washington in the letter M. And the same with several other letters after the C.

Interesting. California lakes are all in the system but that state is currently disabled. THanks for noticing and pointing it out.

As for the # of lakes with that name, unless you're fishing out of state you should always have the state dropdown set to WA.

The only thing I see 4 of is the emails I get whenever someone replies to this thread!

BTW, I'm working on fixing that ASAP.

Ok, when I click on the link posted above, it says 'all' for the state selection.

When I use the link that was posted on this page it works fine... when I use the one lake page.... at least I get the error on my prior post. I'm going to try another computer and browser and see what happens. It could be my end for all intents.

Before I try another computer I'm informing you that I get the same search result using IE8 and Mozilla Firefox 4.0... as if that should really matter.

That is just the fishing reports, not the lake info page.
