Panfishing

Post by Mikeel1987 » Wed May 30, 2012 10:02 pm

Want to get my kid into fishing and was wondering what the best way was to catch panfish around here and where. I live in centralia area. I remember catching panfish when I was little all the time off of just a bobber and worm in front of boat launches. I havnt caught a panfish in a long time so I wouldnt know what to use and when I have caught it was on accident. any and all info would be great. Thanks

Now that Berkley makes all kinds of Powerbait (you know how kids can be squeamish with real worms) they make Powerbait crawlers, maggots, waxworms etc. These seem to be just as effective under a bobber as most real worm setups. They'll also hit little jigs and spinners, but for the youngsters, something tasty under a bobber is the easy way to go.
