Looking for info on where to buy

Post by Chucksrage » Sun May 12, 2013 10:22 am

Looking for info on where to buy 3/4 inch plastic/composite sheets to replace the floor in my sled. Does anyone know where I can buy these locally?

Thank you

I believe Fisheries Supply carries Starboard in various sizes, not sure about floor board size...

Along the North shore of the ship canal are many boating stores. Fisheries supply is probably the best bet. If they are still in business try Wilson Marine. Fisheries supply is a great store.

I'd go look at samples at Fisheries (Consistently 10-20% Below West Marine) and think about a direct buy from the Mfg. http://www.kingplastic.com/products/ if they don't have big sheets. I have another distributor that's a real stand up guy but he's not local to Pugetropolis. The XL is becoming the go to for flooring but, if a guy could get some rubber or vinyl extruded edging I would think the "Lite" XL would be the stuff. A guy used to be able to buy sheets of aircraft floor, Nomex honeycomb core sandwiched in CF, very strong and light but you needed to finish the edges with epoxy putty. I wish Boeing Surplus was still around.....
