Right on! I'm glad you went with the TFO. They are very very nice rods! How'd you like the feel of that rod? That's my favorite king rod right there, that's the rod I'm running for my clients.

Best feeling rod I've ever owned you can tell the sizeof the rock your bouncing off of. And the bite, wow, I even caught a little smolt and even his little bite was felt. It's got just that little extra backbone I was looking for, but not so heavy that your just horesing em in. Thinking about floating from sultan to Monroe in the morning to hopefully try it out on a chinook.

I just got a new shipment of rods in that I got the chance to fish with today. Man, they are so much fun! I still love my 9'6" 4-8 caster. The true test of a good rod is if it can actually play a fish on its lowest line rating, and man, can it ever! Low and clear I was casting to the far side of rieter with about 1/8 ounce of lead. Who needs the highway side when you've got a rod that can do that!

Did you get to fight a steel on those new rods? How did it handle?

Very very fun. With light tackle, you can't pull very hard on them, but the light action of the rod keeps the leader from breaking. At first they are all over the place, and then it wears them out. But definitely bring a net on light tackle. No dragging up on the beach.

Was up there tonight throwing the tiniest piece of lead my citica could throw, and even though its not as light as yours, the tip still loads up enough to throw the little stuff. Couldn't repeat on the fish today though.
