Shout out to AMX!

Post by mizm05 » Tue Aug 06, 2013 11:48 am

Big thanks to Tom! I'm a new member and live not too far from him. He was gracious enough to meet up with me last night and donate a bunch of trout lures, spoons, hooks, bobbers, etc...Thank you very much, Tom.

Also, we spent a good 30 minutes just shooting the breeze. I got some valuable knowledge passed down in the parking lot. Thanks again! Not sure I will remember every single thing you told me...but that just means we will have to meet up again sometime! LOL

Seriously...thanks Tom. I'm very grateful.

No problem, I like helping others when I can. I still have a few tackle boxes, and other stuff like plastics if I ever get them sorted - again - . Might even have some old rods and reels if I ever figure out if I still 'need' them. Been replacing with all new Dobyns rods and new reels the last 2 years. Ordered another rod yesterday. [laugh] I still need 2 more rods. I only have 10 new rods so far. [biggrin] Was just getting ready to set up the newest rod with the splitshot rig, it worked great with the small crankbait on it yesterday. [thumbup] I have an hour before the Little League World Series game comes on.

Tom's a great guy. a couple of years ago (I dont know if he remembers or not) he took me out on his boat chasing bass. I had a blast and learned a lot about the lake and some techniques. (thanks again tom :salut: )

Ya gotta buy more than one, say 3 chainsaws and a weedeater. Not to mention 10 Dobyns rods. Now I have 11 of them. Image And still need 2 more of a certain size/action/power. Might end up getting even more - depending.
