Oh how I know that look, only my Amber, unfortunately, has masticatory muscle myositis an incurable disease affecting the masticatory muscles. She looks like Maggie after the bee attack on her bad days, and today was one - breaks my heart. Treatment options are fairly limited, primarily corticosteroids (Prednisone in Amber's case) and she will remain on it the rest of her life. [sad]

Looks like Maggie has a bit of a bee allergy. Chester will eat them all day long with no effect but he's a bit of a droopy faced cocker
Build a man a fire and he's warm for the night. Light a man on fire and he's warm the rest of his life!

Poor Amber and Maggie. Our Lab/Chessie cross eats them too and is very allergic. When she does get stung, we need to take her in for a shot or it can be life threatening. She's not the swiftest, but she's our girl! Family, huh!?

Not one of Amber's good days. Big low pressure front moved in last night and will be here all day. Nothing can be done to ease the symptoms during changes in pressure unless I want to give her a narcotic pain killer. Told the vet I'd rather make her as comfortable as possible without the negative effects of narcotics.

When she feel good, she's very active. She's been laid out on our bed since before 7am. [crying]
