I must have just missed the accident by about 10-15 seconds.
My theory is, looks like he was pulling out of 3Rivers and maybe too much gas.

I hope he his OK. Its an easy mistake too much gas, in britian during the nineties they noticed an up swing in motorcycle accidents with older guys jumping on their brand new triumphs, they put it down to born again bikers not realizing how much more powerful these modern machines where compared to when they were kids.
Anyways that lead to the introduction of stepped motorcycle tests 125cc,600cc, unlimited, heck that was a long time ago still I don't think you can ride unlimited unless your over 21!
