Hair bug

Post by HillbillyGeek » Sun Jan 13, 2008 10:01 pm

I was just tying up a few of chartreuse/black/olive jigs and decided to fan out some purple deer hair on the bottom to make it look more "buggy". (The collar was left fuzzy on purpose.)

deer hair's kinda stiff and doesn't wiggle. Can't give you an alternative off the top of my head.

The big hunk of marabou for the tail is a nice touch.

Died Calf tail hair gives a really great result. It has more movement than deer hair, and is a but fuller.

Looks good, very good.
Too much water, so many fish, too little time.
