thats really cheap it seems i gotta get out there so were there any other boats that had gone out and yeah what was your biggest seabass

That's very true.

Sea bass 10-12 pounds very rare...never seen a 12 pound black sea-bass...prob. never will...can someone validate this for me?

thats what i was thinking Kutt the biggest seabass i have caught was 4 pounds and the biggest my dad got was 7 pounds at seiku

well that was a rough guess. some of them were really big. like im talkin about a big gut and 2- 2 1/2 feet long. i dont know what size they usually run.

they were probably in the seven or eight pound range do u have a photo of the big seabass

yeah i would say they were probably around 7-8 pounds cause a 10-12 pound sea bass is huge

Sorry to burst the bubble but here's the state's record for black sea bass:

Black Seabass Rockfish 10 lbs 4 oz Pacific Ocean - Tacoma Narros Joseph Eberling 5/20/1980

Maybe it was a different variety of rockfish...

yeah and that is a huge seabass as alot of seabass are caught when they are 3-7 pounds

Yeah, it's all good...he probably did just what we would all do and "round up" -- big time! lol...they were probably 7 pounds at MOST.

yeah cause the pic of your uncle does not look like a black seabass and yeah kutt i have seen 7 pound seabass and they are the size kory described. How big was the cabezon

oh yeah i forgot the fish my uncle has is the quilback. you can see the cabezon if you go to the pic with all the lings and look at where that little slit is where water can run in and out is. its right there

that is a very nice sized cabezon and yeah the fish your uncle is holding is a quilback
