Snoqualmie River
Does anyone flyfish the South fork with flys.I have a good friend who Flys up there.Hes telling me he catches really nice trout.I havent been with him fishing. My question is are there nice sized trout up there and can you retain them ifin you get a nice one for dinner?
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

RE:Snoqualmie River
Since I lived in North Bend for 9 years, I know a few things about whipping feathers at those trout. Run your standard summer dry fly patterns, and also a few streamers in the mix. The most fish I have ever caught, and biggest have all come from the middle fork. Since I moved away from N.B. two years ago I'm not sure what the cfs and level the river is at. Try this one spot off of exit 38, you go down the road a ways, and then you turn off onto the Hydro electric place on the left side of the road. Fish the pools down from there. I was told there is a lot of lamprey and small fingerling trout. I have seen guys throw those clouser minnows for dollys. CR and you'll have the numbers, but not huge size. Good Luck on the south if you give it a try.

Exit 38 is some old stomping grounds of my off roading and mudding days.Exit 38 under the power lines had some great mud pits for mudders.I know that powerhouse area.I guess my next question is to you feather throwers is "How long do you toss a fly before retieing a new one on?"I see some guys spending more time tieing then fishing.
