My oh My Another older burnout.Seattle gets a couple every year. When will they ever learn. For the first time in 22 years I didnt re buy my season tics.I felt cheated the past couple years with the M's and their money gaffing ways.

Sorry Griffey is great but... old and a has been... The M's need to go get some younger guys that are on the rise instead of all these guys that were good and no longer are.... Look at what Tampa Bay did.. they mixed a lot of really talented new/young players with a few GOOD vet's! that is what Seattle needs to do.. we have sucked ever since we won 116 games back in 2001.... it just does not make any sense to me why they didnt go after their best players from past years, and just let them go.... I used to love to go to games and watch them.. but they dont really have any good games anymore.... its time for a change!!!!

Jens let them hate:cheers:
We have not had a DH since Edgar:cheers: and he was slower then butter:colors:

None of these guys even in his sliding years could clean His Jock strap

Greatness is earned and his is set in stone they did this in part of this for $$$$$ his name, the gate pull DUH!!!

His Swing is still the best in baseball and he gets hot he alone can carry a team for weeks
If his legs hold he will hit 25- 30 homers and drive in over 100 RBI's if he is healthy and he hates the new park as a offensive machine.

This guy is not done God grants these gifts far and few give him so time the Kid will drive them deep Junior has over 600 plus homers in the bigs:cheers: and he will hit another 30 -50 more if he stays and plays on 2 more years, easy to judge from a park bench= hit the gym your a bit lean on mean!!! LOL
Remember his Dad Ken S his Dad the Big Red Machine Right Fielder and Great as well in 1 game son and Father hit Dingers for the Mariners into the lights Ken Senior was a Stud bottom line DNA baby!!!!

We have sported a few in the bigs as well nothing close to Junior these gifts come once in a lifetime:bounce:

Ken Srs. DNA could not have been that great with all the problems Kenny Jr. has had and has now.Shoulder ,hamstrings, ankles. He was great from 1987-97.I know his rookie year was 89 but he played for the Bellingham Mariners for a couple before the majors. After his dreary suicide attempt he made it into the majors.Quote from 1999 season"build me a new stadium and I'll retire here in Seattle".Daddy Ken wanted nothing to do with that.So then after building the stadium he cried some more."The field isnt what I wanted.I cannot hit into the center field area because the wall distracts me and its too far".Again we shorten the center field wall and paint it black with non reflective paint. What happens??? Griffey family pulled a Beverly Hillbillies and all moved to Cincy. For 5 seasons he cried and cried.Im so sick of multi millionaire crybabies.Kenny was great in the nineties till he bailed out.
Swede how much do you invest in the M's?.How many games do you attend each year.I got tired of flipping the bill.Let some new sucker have my great seats.I'll watch them on a nice 46" t.v. and for $8.00 I'll buy me a 6 pack of premium beer to watch them.I guess it would be like going to watch you wrestle now (no offense). To me its not a draw to watch old guys play sports.
The M's have 2 great farm teams that we seldom use till the last 2 weeks of the season. When we do have a great young talent we trade them for 4 old men.Go figure????

I'd liked to see him back here...I'd loved to see him retire here.
After the M's downslide the last couple years I really don't see the harm in bringing him back and
he seems to be one of the few honest players left.
I would certainly attend more games with my son just to watch him bat...Ichiro too.
At least with him back here,I think it would get fans a little more excited.

Now if only we could get good 'ole sweet Lou back.

Racefish the problems with his body breaking down pretty simple running into walls and throwing your body all over the field to catch a ball others could not reach #-o Swing Dancer:colors: #-o as far as me taking a fight the Nureo Team, heart staff and nerve center might have a problem with that choice but I did take that choice at 47 how about you?
I realize pacing yourself backing the custom tub up LMAO!

As far as tickets mine came free if I wanted them and truth I rarely went when I get back from the derby I will share another gig a 39 A ball not the big show but with tore up knees and Rota repairgonesouthcuff from hell Cheney Staduim and they came 3 day event 12 home runs and player of the tourney and will add the place was jumping just like my bat fastballs driven deep into the lights DNA baby and still have 2 my blood in the bigs and one more coming up you see it takes size, speed and power baby to be a champ.
I smelled it I chased it and came up short!
I ask far more from a body then 10 guys should

Griff is of legend and his name is in stone I and so is his FATHERS DNA baby it only comes by like a 25 lb winter hen steelhead not backing a rivited tub at the speed of nothing on a boat ramp!:-$ :-#

All the greats in most are hated why the average Joe never felt it tasted it or trained to be it they sat back in judgement when all they had to judge is a waist line, balding hairline and zero skills DNA baby see you at the Derby Racfish= John wayne Marina you will notice me who will notice you!

Hand speed with power baby and the attitude to back the game we might not win it but were in it to win it or die trying DNA baby!!!!
Love and Kisses the Swedester Passion each and al grab some hating is just that nothing doing and trying is the game get in the Game each day is a gift! Fish on!!!!

Glad the Junior is back the rest history will tell not a bunch of folks who were lean on skills Champions of the game that once made her great!

Just watch the results when he gets at least 400 AB'S..He'll easily hit 25++ HR's. I want to see where he will hit in the lineup. I can see the West for the taking this year for the M's...but back to Griff, he's an athlete. He's a Professional. He's going to play. And he will give it his all..I am looking forward to it..I will admit I am REDSOX nation, but I still root for the M"s and hearing about the possible signing, I can only compare that to the Red Sox signing Smoltz. I can't wait!! PLAY BALL-

400 ab's and 25 homers? I love the guy, great piece of history, and a lot of class. First ballot HOF for sure!!

Those sure would be decent numbers for a DH. I guess we can hope, right? :bigsmurf:

He's not here yet though. But man, what class. At least he didn't juice. I HATE JUICERS. Even I can win by cheating....:-" For example....I could catch more steelhead than sf4l1, IF I COULD TNT THE WHOLE RIVER!!! (that's about the only way too...:clown: )

If you look at his career stats, and just recently in '07- he had 528 AB's with 30 roundtrippers. Even with his split season last year- he hit 18. Like I said before, he will be a MUCH IMPROVED offensive production than what the M's had last year.

His attitude is really dissapointing, I would rather root for a good team than have 1 man trying to grab all the glory. Its about more than just a few balls over the fence. His presence back in Seattle will NOT affect my viewing of the Mariners Games, I wont watch more of less because of him. He simply is not a consideration.

My team is Boston, and I had to deal with watching Manny being Manny.....Griff is nowhere near that kind of attitude.

Great debate we have going here, but is the trade set in stone yet ?? I sure haven't heard anything about it lol. I won't be watching the games, I'll be out fishing. He may or may not help the team much, we'll see.
Just hope they aren't giving him big money !

Its happened and I heard they're bringing the BONE back for 5 mil.Griffey signed for 5 mil for 1 year in Seattle.I doubt very much hes worth 5 big ones.Lets bring back Bone,Dan Wilson, and Russ Davis. At only 5 mil each its a bargain for the M's.

In todays PI there was a whole article on Ichiro and hows hes not happy.I guess now that the Kid isnt comming back maybe Ichi will get off his high horse.Griff said he wanted to be closer to home which I really doubt.Griffey and Ichiro would be fighting all season on who gets more attention.I hate multi millionaire crybabies. Its times like this that make me happy I didnt re-buy my tickets.Instead of buying a used has been they need to concentrate on younger more energenic players.
