I did some checking for you and sound two advertisements for fireworks on Whidbey Island.
1) July 3rd, Freeland Park. CELEBRATE AMERICA 2007! 13th annual freedom celebration; Free & family-friendly! July 3rd, Freeland Park, south end of Whidbey Island (Mukilteo-Clinton ferry). Oreo Stacking Contest for kids; juggling & comedy show by Brothers From Different Mothers. Inflatables & Big Toys open at 2:00, food booths at 4:00, children's programs & entertainment at 6:00. Spectacular professional fireworks show over Holmes Harbor at dark. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets! Free transit shuttle starting at 5:00 p.m. from Washington Mutual Bank by Payless Foods and from Trinity Lutheran Church Park ‘n Ride lot. 360.221.1656. 2) CELEBRATE AMERICA 2009! 15th Annual Event
FREE ADMISSION AND FAMILY-FRIENDLY ENTERTAINMENT! Join us on Friday, July 3rd at Freeland Park on Holmes Harbor on the south end of Whidbey Island (Mukilteo-Clinton ferry) for our 15th annual freedom celebration. A day of fun in a fair-like setting with main stage entertainment, live bands, games and contests, patriotic presentation, and food booths. Inflatables and Big Toys for the kids open at 2:00, food booths open at 4:00, live entertainment on the main stage will begin at 6:00. Finish off the day with a spectacular fireworks show over Holmes Harbor.

Free Transit Shuttle from the Park 'n Ride lot at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeland at the corner of S. that sounds like fun but too far for me 
Since its on a weekend this year we'll be heading up to my Mom's house up in Metaline for the weekend. Im trying to talk my 4yr old son into camping out in a tent out in the yard. Metaline puts on a display you can see really well from my mom's deck and also they allow people to shoot off fireworks. I'll deffinetly get some fishing in at some of the area lakes too....i still havent even got my license yet.......ie havent been fishing this year yet....been spending all my time in the garden and yard
