Yup, I stay away from WaWa and Sammamich and most others on weekends if at all possible. I have the whole week days to fish. Image

That particular bay is always like that during the Summer months. It is the most desireable free overnight moorage bay on the lake. Once the rains start and the daytime highs only reach the 60's the lake is a ghost town. If you want to fish, you need to get there early and leave by around 10:00am. Alternately I'll launch around 6:00pm and fish till 9:30 or so. During Seafair, I'll stay away at all costs it is just not worth the aggrevation and the chop on the lake from all the boat traffic is just horrible.

Yep. The rises were just starting to come on strong and that storm moved in over the lake and poured. After that, nothing.

Although I have never fished Lake Washington, it truly is a beautiful lake. I love the west side, but wouldn't care to live over there. It must be the South Dakota farm boy in me, I don't care for a lot of congestion. I do thoroughly enjoy my visits over there though.:thumright

Marc,
That's probably the best picture I've ever seen of that particular lake. There always seems to be someone fishing the ramp doesn't there?
Where you go is less important than how you get there.

Flippin thats my view also just down 1 block. The boats on Lk Wa on hot weekends is grotesque. This comming weekend for Seafair is the worse.I wont leave my house all weekend long.
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

Man, I had to listen to TWO DANG BOATS tonight holed up in a little cove about 8 miles downstream.

The crowds over here on the sunny side of the state are unbearable......
